A FRESH appeal has been made for help after a father-of-one was left fighting for his life following town centre violence in Chorley in the early hours of Sunday.
Martin Catterall, 30, is still in a critical condition in the Royal Preston Hospital with serious head injuries after being attacked while out celebrating the recent birth of his baby.

He is on a life support machine after a street brawl involving a number of men at the junction of Union Street and Park Road.
One persongood Samaritan who came to his aid is believed to have been traced – but People in the beer garden of the nearby White Hart pub who may have witnessed the incident are being asked to come forward.
Det Supt Eddie Thistlethwaite, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are looking at CCTV in a bid to identify potential witnesses.“CCTV footage includes a number of vehicles driving past the immediate aftermath of the incident.
“One is a white taxi, possibly a Vauxhall Zafira or similar. We would ask the driver or passengers of that or other vehicles to contact us.”
Witnesses are asked to ring police on 101, quoting log 0013 of November 30, or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
