Rising boxing star Jack Catterall took his pro record to 8-0, easing to a points victory over Krzysztof Szot at the Liverpool, OIympia.
In his first bout since signing with legendary promoter and manager Frank Warren, Chorley’s Catterall showed fitness, hunger and lightning glove speed to comfortable take the spoils.
The fight was the young pro’s first over eight rounds. The light-welterweight said : “I enjoyed the fight, I knew he was tough and durable, I picked some nice shots and I really enjoyed it.
“I’m happy with my eight rounds and it was a great learning fight, it’s on to the next one now.”
An announcement is expected in the coming weeks from Warren as to when Catterall will be taking to the ring for his ninth professional fight.
