CHORLEY FC’s success in winning the Evo-Stik League Premier Division signalled the end of one of non-league football’s most famous moustaches.
The Magpies clinched the title last week with a 2-0 win at Buxton in front of 1,200 travelling fans.
However there was one casualty of the victory as Chorley captain Andrew Teague, 28, promised to get rid of his handlebar moustache once his team had clinched the league.
Andy showed his caring side by using the facial hair stunt in aid of the Twincess campaign, which was inspired by Chorley twins Isobel and Abigail Parry.
The girls, who are nearly three, have Down’s syndrome and the girls’ parents Matt and Jodi Parry launched Twincess to change people’s perceptions of the condition.
The tache got shaved off at Chorley’s social club, the title win raising for more than £500.
