Sign up for scheme to save on energy bills

RESIDENTS in Chorley are being encouraged to join a community energy scheme which intends to save money on gas and electricity bills.

The collective energy switch was launched in February and so far more than 21,000 people have signed up across Lancashire.

To participate, people need to register their details before the April 8 deadline.

The People Power road show bus will be in Chorley town centre, next to the Flat Iron car park, all day on Saturday, March 23.

Those interested should bring along their latest gas and electricity bill to register.

There will also be other opportunities to learn about the scheme with Chorley Council taking a stall on the covered market every Tuesday until April 2.

Sign up sessions are also planned for local libraries across the borough.
