Snow penguins built in Chorley

THE DELUGE of snow in Chorley on Friday evening led to a Chorley street gaining two new residents — a pair of ‘snow penguins’.

The mother and baby snow sculptures were created on Devonshire Road by graphic designer and illustrator Kath Speak, with the help of five of her friends.

She said: “It’s not every day you have that much snow.

“The whole thing took us about two hours to build with our bare hands, it was worth it, though. I was really pleased with the result and I think they put a smiles on people’s faces.”
