Consultation on Chorley homes
8:00am Sunday 20th January 2013 in Chorley
Plans to develop seven acres of brownfield land near of Myles Standish Way is the subject of a consultation tomorrow.
United Utilities owns the site, off Carr Lane, Chorley, which previously housed part of the Vertex Training Centre.
The draft proposals show the creation of 74 new homes, including 22 affordable homes. The development will comprise four-bed detached and semi-detached homes as well as two-bed mews houses.
The plans will be presented at an exhibition at Albany Academy, from 6pm to 8pm.
United Utilities plans to analyse the feedback from the event and make any appropriate changes and refinements to its plans before an application is submitted to Chorley Borough Council.
The site is next to Duxbury Manor, which is being developed by Arley Homes.
United Utilities said the scheme would deliver an estimated 105 construction jobs with them offering a local labour scheme.
Andrew Leyssens at United Utilities commented: “The site presents an excellent opportunity to provide further high quality housing on the final phase of this site.”
