OLYMPIC cyclist Chorley’s Rik Waddon cheered on young people in a charity bike ride.
The 20 youngsters from Moor Nook, Preston, got involved in fundraising after working with the environmental charity Groundwork on their Positive Futures programme.
The fundraising bike ride around Preston’s 21 mile Guild Wheel circuit was one of a number of ideas generated by the team of keen youngsters.
They will now be deciding which charity to donate the money to. Silver Medal paralympian Rik then presented them with certificates to recognise their achievement.
He said: “If you can do something new like this, don't be afraid to tackle any challenge in life.”
