A HOUSING association has been criticised for spending more than £2,000 sending 45 staff on a paintballing trip.
The staff, from Chorley Community Housing, (CCH) spent two hours last Tuesday at Delta Force, Wigan Lane, Coppull, as part of a team-building day.
John Wilson, 56, of Shaw Hill Drive, Adlington, saw a ‘convoy’ of CCH vehicles arriving at the site.
He said: “I was angry money was being wasted on entertainment for staff when I’m sure they should be working hard for the tenants they serve.”
Richard Houghton, director of operations at CCH, said: “It was a very successful day which generated the sort of team spirit that creates excellent customer care.”

They are not just about wasting a full day and can make a huge difference to how people work together. I thought they were a waste of time until I saw firsthand just how helpful they can be.
