Bus operator Stagecoach is set to alter certain routes in the Chorley area due to road works.

From Sunday, January 25, the following services will be running on revised routes and timetables: 1, 1A, 1B, 3, 3A, 7, 10, 24, 125 and 327.

The 1A evening service from Chorley to Eaves Lane has been reinstated.

Passengers using the 24 service for Eaves Lane will now need to use the 1A service instead.

The 24 service will now serve Harpers Lane and follow the normal daytime route.

The 3 service from Chorley to Lower Adlington will run on a revised route and timetable, in order to serve more of Adlington during the Skew Bridge closure, when the 125 will be unable to run the usual route.

Service 7 from Chorley to Croston will also operate on a revised route and timetable until May 2015, in connection with the road closure in Charnock Richard.

Due to the road closures, the 125 service from Preston to Bolton will operate via the A6 Westhoughton Road bypass and Railway Road until further notice.

Due to the road closure in Charnock Richard, the 327 service will instead operate via Church Lane. The overall timetable will remain unchanged.

Elisabeth Tasker, from Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire, said: “We are updating and revising our schedules to ensure that road works in the Chorley area have minimal effect on the service we’re able to provide to people living locally. As a result of this, some of our routes are changing slightly while work is ongoing."

New timetables are available online and in print from the usual outlets. Passengers are advised to check their planned route before travelling.
