Me and My Girl is the next show at Adlington Community Centre.

Robin Armstrong and Samantha Hilton will play Bill Snibson and Sally Smith in the Adlington Music and Arts Society production.

They will make their way home by way of that well known Lambeth Walk with that famous lamppost at a street corner to lean on along the way.

The musical tells the story of a neighbour who suddenly finds himself not just with an hereditary windfall but a title and a country home to boot.

The Dowager, the Duchess of Hareford is on his side and moreover, is desperate for him to have the abbey to ensure it doesn’t fall into the hands of HMRC.

The drawback is the neighbour’s fiancée who is from the wrong side of the tracks, or the river in this tale – Lambeth in fact, which, although only a few pebbles throws from Westminster, is not in the same league.

Me and My Girl runs from Monday, October 22 to Saturday, October 27 at Adlington Community Centre, Railway Road. Performances begin at 7.15pm and tickets are £9 from John’s Newsagent’s or by calling 07507 012 080 or 01257 480166.
