Newly-launched job clubs at county libraries, including Chorley, are helping people into employment and training.

County councillor Mike Calvert, community services cabinet member, said: “We want to do all we can to help people into work and the sessions we offer at our libraries are an important part of this.

“They are completely free and led by qualified staff who will offer friendly advice on issues such as completing an application form, interview techniques and developing new skills.”
