People in need of housing urged to use allocation website

First published in News

Residents in Chorley in need of low-cost social rented housing are being urged to make sure they make the most of the local housing allocations service.

In a bid to make sure local people get the best out of the service council is urging people looking for a housing association home to use Select Move.

Select Move is an internet-based system for allocating social housing to rent across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble.

Properties from nine partner landlords are advertised on the system with properties being allocated on a weekly basis depending upon people’s needs. To ‘bid’ for houses in the system people need to complete an application form at www.selectmove. co.uk or call into the council offices on Union Street.
