Charity races night for South Ribble

First published in

South Ribble residents are being offered the chance to watch greyhound racing – and help raise money for good causes at the same time.

The Mayor and Mayoress of South Ribble, Coun Colin Clark and his wife, Margaret, are inviting people to join them on a fund-raising trip to Belle Vue Stadium on Friday, September 28.

Money raised from the event will go to the Mayor’s charities St Catherine’s Hospice, the North West Air Ambulance and the Prostate Cancer Charity.

The package on offer includes coach travel to Manchester, entrance to the stadium, a programme, a three-course meal and hostess service for the bar and betting.

The coach party will leave Leyland at 5.15pm and pick up at Lostock Hall at 5.30pm.

The trip is expected to return to South Ribble between 11.30pm and midnight.

Tickets cost around £28 for person and you can book a place with a £10 non-refundable deposit from 01772 625306.
