The search is on to find the most beautiful garden in the Chorley area.

The borough council along with Chorley and District Gardening Society are organising the competition.

There’s a top prize of £120 worth of gardening vouchers up for grabs plus the prestigious title of Chorley’s Best Kept Garden 2012.

The winner will also receive a trophy, presented by Chorley and District Gardening Society, and a framed certificate.

Second prize is £80 worth of gardening vouchers and a framed certificate and there’s a third prize of £40 worth of vouchers and a framed certificate.

All vouchers have been donated by Birkacre Garden Centre, Birkacre Road, Chorley.

A shortlist to be judged in person in July.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 29.
