Elections in Chorley council seats

The future control of Chorley Council will be decided tomorrow as voters elect a third of the borough’s councillors.
Election day is Thursday, May 3, with the count taking place after polls close at 10pm.
The current composition of the council is Conservative 23 seats, Labour 19 seats, Liberal Democrat two seats and Independents two seats and there is one vacant seat to be decided in a by-election also on May 3.
There are 43 candidates standing for the 16 seats up for election. Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday.
