LANCASHIRE’S Serious and Organised Crime Unit is appealing for the public’s help in tracing two drug dealers, one with links to Chorley.
In April of this year, Shahid Mushtaq, 40, of Clarendon Road, Manchester, was jailed for nine years after being convicted of conspiracy to supply cocaine.
However, he was sentenced in his absence having absconded during the trial and is wanted by police.
Mushtaq has links to Manchester and the Ruislip area of Middlesex and also has family in Pakistan. However, he may have also gone to live in Spain.
Abdul Khan, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine in relation to the same investigation, but failed to appear for sentencing and is also wanted.
Khan has links to both Preston and Chorley and also Manchester. He is also believed to have property in Spain and Pakistan.
Detective Inspector Gallagher added: “I would also like to appeal for information in relation to the whereabouts of Shahid Mushtaq and Abdul Khan who have both showed absolute contempt for the criminal justice system.
“If anybody knows where these men are or has any information at all with regards to their recent whereabouts then I would ask them to contact police as a matter of urgency.”
Anybody with any information should contact police on 08451 25 35 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
