Staff at Camerons Restaurant, in Birkacre garden centre, were once again crowned the Greatest Catering Team in the whole of the UK in this year’s Greatest Garden Centre Catering awards. Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle visited the restaurant to taste some of the food and see if the staff lived up to their new title.

He said: “It was a pleasure to visit Camerons today and to see that all of the hard work of the staff has paid off. When you visit Camerons you are sure of a warm welcome and delicious food.

“This award recognises Camerons as being the best in its field – this is down to the staff and the loyal customers who have supported this restaurant.

“Chorley has a great selection of restaurants and it is encouraging to see yet another restaurant succeeding in the area.”

The restaurant is run by Sue and Chris Cameron and opened four years ago. It has won the Greatest Garden Centre Catering Team national award for the past two years and has also received the Taste Lancashire Quality Assured marquee.

Mrs Cameron said: “It is great to see that Camerons has been recognised, once again, as being a top quality restaurant. We strive to provide a unique and personal service to all our customers which is demonstrated by daily menu changes, presentation, taste, style and surroundings.

“All ingredients for the menu are locally sourced where possible and there is always vegetarian and vegan options. We thank our customers most sincerely for their support and continued custom.”
