A HOSPICE is offering a £25,000 cash prize to mark its 25th anniversary.

It is 25 years since St Catherine’s Hospice, at Lostock Hall, first opened its doors to provide specialist care for people in Chorley and Preston.

And to mark that anniversary it is holding a raffle with its biggest ever prize.

Sheila Kennard, head of promotions, said: “It is the biggest draw we’ve ever had so we want to open up the opportunity to take part to as many people as possible, and that will also mean we will raise a lot more money for the hospice.

“This year, because it is a special year for the hospice we wanted to do something a bit more special so we are holding just the one super draw with a top prize of £25,000.”

Tickets for the Silver Super Draw, to be made on September 29, have been sent out to all the hospice’s supporters to sell, they are also available in all 11 of its shops, and at the hospice itself.

The draw is being run by the hospice’s Lottery which, since it first started in February 1993, has made £8m profit.
