Church packed for Islam talk

A talk by an Islamic leader on ten things Christians should know about Muslims was attended by more than 100 people at a village church.

Moulana Faruk Ali delivered the talk which was hosted by Rev Doug Smith at Hillside Methodist Church in Brinscall.

Among the subjects discussed were aspects of Muslim prayer, the fact that Jesus is seen as a prophet under Islam, fasting during Ramadan and the pilgrimages expected of all Muslims.

Rev Smith said: "Everyone present found out more of what it is like for Muslims in modern day Britain."
