RESIDENTS in Ribble Valley are being invited to have their say on major changes to the planning system.
The Government aims to replace the old system of structure plans, local plans and supplementary planning guidance with a series of policy documents.
Ribble Valley Borough Council has drafted a Statement of Community Involvement, which sets out how it intends engaging the community on future planning policy, which community groups it will consult an d how residents can access information on planning matters.
The document is available for inspection at the Level D Planning Reception at the Ribble Valley Council offices in Church Walk, Clitheroe, and the following until January 6: Clitheroe Library, Church Street; Longridge Library, Berry Lane; Mellor Library, St Mary's Gardens; Whalley Library, Abbey Road; Read Library, Jubilee Street. It is also available on the Ribble Valley Council website at ww.ribblevalley.gov.uk.
