Loanee winger Nathan Dyer has spoken of his delight at extending his loan spell at Turf Moor.

The 18-year-old Southampton starlet has had an immediate impact since bursting onto the scene with the Clarets, scoring his first Championship goal on his debut against Millwall and following it up with another goal against Crewe Alexandra.

Dyer was forced to kick his heels watching last weekend's return to St Mary's Stadium with Steve Cotterill's side.

But he insisted he was happy to sign on for another month as he looks to gain valuable first team experience.

"Ever since I've come here, everyone has really made me feel welcome and I was just happy to extend it really," said Dyer, who is available for selection again this weekend.

"The gaffer, the staff and everyone else have all looked after me, so I was happy to stay for another month.

"I came here to gain experience and I'm just happy that I've managed to get a couple of goals and play quite well, so I just want to keep it going really.

I wouldn't mind staying here for as long as it takes to gain more and more experience so we'll have to see what happens."
