STEP back in time to a bygone era when swing was king -- with the help of King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys, who call themselves "Britain's finest party band". See them in Burnley on December 8.
They will perform a mix of 1940s Kansas City Jazz and Blues in an exhilarating, swinging, non-stop performance.
Looking like they just stepped straight out of a 1940s black and white B-movie, the inimitable six-piece will deliver a shot of pure and authentic jazz and blues from time gone by.
The main man, King Pleasure, is unique. He sings, he romps, he roars, he relentlessly drives the band forward and clearly has a ball as he does it.
And his "Biscuit Boys" are pretty individual too, with Boysie Battrum on tenor/alto sax; Crab-Claw Tromans on piano; Bullmoose K Shirley on guitar, Shark Van Schtoop on double bass and Dangerous Dave Wilkes on drums.
King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys are at Burnley Mechanics on Friday, December 8. Call box office on 01282 664400.
