BLACKBURN MP Jack Straw pledged to assist more than 20 angry residents pleading for his help over the possible sale of Blackburn Transport.
Pensioner Dylis Taylor, 65, led the group to the MP's surgery, at Bangor Street Community Centre, where Mr Straw vowed to contact the council.
Mrs Taylor, of Cranshaw Drive, Pleckgate, lives on one of the bus routes which unions fear will be axed if the sale goes ahead.
She has set up a campaign group with neighbours.
Blackburn with Darwen Council announced the potential sell-off after an internal council review of the service revealed that the company relies on just a handful of key routes to keep it in profit.
