MAY I, on behalf of the Royal British Legion and everyone who attended the Remembrance Sunday service, congratulate the St Helens Borough Council for the organisation of the event in light of the pedestrianisation of Victoria Square?
In particular, special thanks are due to David Heyes, mayor's secretary and Paul Sanderson, head of engineering, for their splendid efforts on our behalf. Their planning and attention to detail meant that the occasion went without a hitch.
