AN investigation has been launched into the cause of a blaze at a newly-built house in Radcliffe on Monday.
The stairwell and landing of the three-storey town house in Merebrook Close suffered the brunt of the damage, with smoke and heat damage to other rooms.
Firefighters searched for people feared to be trapped inside, but quickly gave the all-clear as colleagues tackled the blaze.
