Ibrahim Master was right to be alert to the dangers of any faith organisation being hijacked for party political puposes.
However, there is nothing wrong with faith organisations impartially encouraging democratic participation (including voting and joining political parties).
If Mosques and Churches can't play their part in instilling this healthy aspect of civil society then we are all poorer for it.
