Have you got the flair for scare? If so, this could be the job for you.

Lancashire-based entertainment company, AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions, is on the hunt for 56 talented performers to take part in its latest Halloween attraction, Scare Kingdom Scream Park, which opens at a site near Blackburn, from October 22.

Auditions for a range of lead roles and minor characters take place at The Swallow Hotel, Preston New Road, Preston, near Blackburn, on Saturday, September 26, and those with a quirky disposition or new starters wanting experience with live audiences, are encouraged to apply.

Performers selected will be based in one of three interactive 'scare' attractions based at Hawkshaw Farm Park – home to Mrs Dowson’s Ice Cream - Longsight Road, Clayton-le-Dale, near Blackburn.

People interested must have bags of enthusiasm and the ability to ad lib and interact with audiences is essential.

Also, they should be confident to learn and perform short scripts and deliver controlled 'frights' to an ever moving audience.

Creative producer of Scare Kingdom Scream Park, Jason Karl, said: “This year we need more scare actors than ever before, and are looking for a great bunch of performers from amateur or professional backgrounds. People often make new friends and last year we even had a relationship blossom amidst the mist and screams!” Only those who live within a 40 mile radius of the venue with their own transport, or a local accommodation base, should apply.

People interested in auditioning should also be in good health and have bags of stamina as performances primarily take place in the evening, outdoors and under a marquee.

Those selected must be available for full-day rehearsals from October 13 to 15 inclusive and will be required for evening performances during October 22 and November 5 inclusive.

Successful applicants will be paid a fee equivalent to £8 per hour.
