A new dental practice will be opening in Chorley this autumn, offering an extra 7,000 places for patients.
Ravat and Ray Dental Care successfully bid to provide the service in Chorley for NHS Central Lancashire.
A location for the Chorley premises has yet to be confirmed but the practice is expected to open in the autumn.
Melanie Catleugh, consultant in dental public health for NHS Central Lancashire, said: “We are delighted to be able to introduce new dental services into Chorley.
“It is anticipated that these services will make a huge difference to the oral health of local residents by increasing access to NHS dentistry.
“The new practice will significantly improve access to dentistry and choice of dentist within these areas and give thousands of residents access to regular dental care.”
The new providers are dentists Mark Ray and Irfan Ravat, who have 10 and six years experience respectively.
Patients wishing to access these new dental services can register online at www.centrallancashire..nhs.uk/dental or call the Dental Access Database team on 01772 777397.
