A local cancer charity will be staging an It’s a Knockout competition in aid of cancer patients.
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation will be holding the competition as part of the Adlington Carnival held at Jubilee Playing Fields in Adlington on Sunday, August 16.
Teams should be made up of between eight and ten players over the age of 16. To enter you have to raise £50 each in sponsorship money.
Spectators will be encouraged to support their teams as loudly as possible from the sidelines and will be able to enjoy the benefits of the rest of the carnival.
Ron McAndrew, Events Coordinator, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said: "This event really provides an excellent opportunity for families, friends or colleagues to come together for a fantastic day of entertainment and exercise, providing you don’t mind getting a little messy. "We would like to encourage people to be inventive with their fundraising, great examples are holding a dinner party and charging friends or creating a swear jar."
