Free school meal advice for Chorley parents

Parents are being urged to make suire their children don't miss out on free school meals.

Parents and carers, whose children are currently receiving free school meals, are usually contacted by the county council around this time of year to check if they are still required and to request proof that they are still entitled to the benefits.

However, it is now possible to check whether children are still entitled to meals without the need for you to provide proof on paper.

Parents will be informed in early August whether or not their children still qualify for free meals.

If there is any dispute about entitlement parents maystill be asked to supply some paper proof.

If parents have not heard from the county council by Friday, August 21, please get in touch with the local Area Teams.

The telephone for parents living in Chorley 01772 531812.
