Kwik off the mark school win cricket comp
Bretherton Endowed Primary School beat two others schools from Chorley to win the Kwik Cricket finals and secure a place in the SPAR Lancashire Youth Games county finals.
The district finals took place at Adlington Cricket Club on Meadow Street, Adlington.
Around 35 school children in four teams, all in year 5 or below, took part in the group stages of the event.
The participating primary schools were: Bretherton A, Duke Street, Adlington Primary and Bretherton B.
Bretherton A team scored 308 in the final to beat Duke Street. They will go forward to represent Chorley district in the county cricket and athletics finals at Salt Ayre Sports Centre in Lancaster on Thursday, July 2.
