Tenon, the UK’s leading accountancy and business advisory firm to entrepreneurs, has promoted Alison Bowyer to head of Group Finance.
Alison, based in the Chorley office, will be responsible for the central finance team and will also support Russell McBurnie, Tenon’s Finance Director.
Alison joined Tenon in 1992 as an accounts clerk and worked in audit and corporate finance.
Since 2000, she has attained various managerial roles within the group including North West Finance Manager and East Midlands Finance Manager as well as a Group Accountant position. More recently, she has worked on special financial projects including the eight acquisitions Tenon has made since May 2007 and the subsequent integration processes.
Commenting on the appointment, Russell McBurnie, Finance Director for Tenon, said: “I have worked with Alison for a number of years and she has proven herself to be an asset to the business.
"Tenon not only advise entrepreneurial businesses but is also very entrepreneurial itself, hence the numerous opportunities for our people to work in a challenging and rewarding environment.
"Alison will now support the group financially and operationally to ensure we meet the growth objectives of the business.”
Alison said: “Tenon is an exciting and challenging place to work and is one of the reasons why I have developed my career at the firm since 1992.
"I am now looking forward to being involved in future projects, supporting and managing the finance team, and continuing to enhance our reporting and management information to drive the business forward."
