A Chorley horse rider came home tops at the South View Competition and Training Centre, in Cheshire.
Allan Birch, from Chorley, put in a great performance in the Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers second round qualifiers, held at the venue on Friday, July 11, with a winning round on Condor Van’T Rozenhof.
The win means that Allan has qualified for the final Tri-Zone Senior Newcomer Championship to be held at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) on Wednesday, October 8.
About 900 talented combinations jumped four double clears in Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers first round competitions between June 2007 to the end of May 2008, earning a coveted place at one of 11 Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers second rounds.
From these, 24 will go on to compete at the prestigious Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers Championship at HOYS.
Tri-Zone is a leading brand of exercise boot for horses designed and developed by Equilibrium, and the company is delighted with the success of the Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers debut year.
Felicity Norrie, Marketing Manager for Equilibrium, said: “Equilibrium is proud to support the Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers Championship.
"A really high standard has been set by the talented combinations that have entered and we look forward to following their progress at the Championship final at HOYS.”
