Two fire crews were called to a house in Eaves Green Road, Chorley, yesterday afternoon.
A fire started in a bin in an upstairs bedroom at around 3.20pm before spreading throughout the room.
The bedroom curtains were destroyed by the fire, the carpet was severely damaged, some clothing was damaged by the heat and smoke and the ceiling also suffered damage.
Two other first floor rooms also suffered some smoke damage.
Nobody was injured in the blaze.
