Police have charged a man with robbery offences after four shops were targeted in the space of half an hour.
The alleged incidents took place at convenience stores in Miller Road, Isherwood Street, St George’s Road and Plungington Road, last Thursday evening (April 18).
A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday.
Joshua Tattersall, of Cemetery Road, Preston, has now been charged with robbery relating to the Plungington Road shop and three offences of attempted robbery relating to the other stores.
He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Tattersall has been remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today.
