Promoters have completed the line-up for the return of one of Lancashire's most popular gatherings for Star Wars aficionados.

Fans of the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire will be making a beeline for Ewood Park on May 5 for the annual Star Wars Fan Fun Day (SWFFD).

And the guests have been rounded off now by the confirmation one of the franchise's youngest actors will be heading to Blackburn.

Ross Beadman secured a role in the Revenge of the Sith film after his mum worked for a casting agency associated with Lucasfilm.

His time on screen as Sors Bandeam, a Jedi youngling, might have only been brief, but his death at the hands of Anakin Skywalker (Haydn Christensen) is a pivotal plot point in the movie.

A SWFFD spokesperson said: "We are delighted to announce Ross Beadman has agreed to join us at this year’s SWFFD.

"Ross is best known to Star Wars fans for playing Sors Bandeam in Revenge Of The Sith.

"Who can forget the little padawan who says 'Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?'."

He will join an array of characters from the Star Wars universe at the gathering, including Amy Allen, who played Jedi Knight Aayla Secura in the Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, in a rare UK appearance.

Another star slated for the Blackburn event is Lukaz Leong, who portrayed Ap'lek, one of the Knights of Ren, in Rise of Skywalker, and is known for his stunt work in Solo.

Scottish actor Duncan Pow, Sgt Ruescott Melshi in Rogue One and later in Andor, is set to attend, as is Garick Hagon (Biggs Darklighter in New Hope and a Doctor Who actor) and Steven Speirs, the voice of the Gungan Captain Roos Tarpals in Phantom Menace.

Droids and Ewoks will also take their place alongside stalls and related attractions.

The organisers are also eager to again raise funds for East Lancashire Hospice.

Donations can be made via their store page - www.swffd.co.uk - with all those getting involved entered into a draw to win a VIP goodie bag.

The online store closes on Sunday, April 28, and tickets are also on sale at Geek Retreat and the Batcave in Blackburn.

The event ran for several years at Burnley's Turf Moor, attracting the likes of the late David Prowse (Darth Vader) and Kenny Baker (R2D2) before making the switch to Ewood Park.
