Ever fancied owning a football stadium?
It might not be Anfield, or the Etihad, but Stand Athletic's former ground is up for sale at Rightmove.
The site, based at Ewood Bridge, off Blackburn Road, Edenfield, is on the market for a mere £1.3million.
The owner would bag themselves just under five acres of land, which includes a club house, as well as having good access from Blackburn Road and not far from the M66, as well as supermarkets, shops and primary, secondary and sixth form centres.
The site also has one standing terraced area.
The land is currently marketed by Farrow & Farrow, and on the Rightmove website, a spokesman said: "This is ideally located between Edenfield, Haslingden and Ramsbottom, the site is conveniently situated for a variety of local amenities, as well as beautiful open countryside, the East Lancs Railway and a range of surrounding resources."
"Comprising just under five acres, including existing structures, this site offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire land potentially suitable for residential development subject to necessary consents and commissions."
The football club moved to the site in 2000, but left only two seasons later due to financial problems.
It was formed in 1946 and originally played at Elms Park in Whitefield.
The club dissolved in 2009 after finishing 4th in Division One of the Manchester Football League.
It went up for sale in 2013, but a buyer was not found.
Would you fancy it?
