A DEFIBRILLATOR was among life-saving items stolen from a rescue team during a training exercise.
A number of expensive items including a generator, an iPad an a defibrillator were taken from a Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team leader's van on Thursday evening after it was broken in to.
The van, which was parked in front of the team's Burnley base, was broken into when the team were on a training exercise.
The mountain rescue team are now urging people to stay vigilant.
In a Facebook post a spokesperson said: "We regret to say that on Thursday night around 21:15 our team leader had his van broken into in front of our Burnley Base as we were out training!
A number expensive items were stolen including a very expensive Pramac generator similar in colour to the image below. Also and iPad, keys even AED!
The police have been fully inform and are investigating as they were caught on cctv.
Can we ask our followers around the Burnley, Accrington and surrounding areas to please report if they are offered or see any suspicious items being sold like this generator to contact either ourselves or Lancashire Constabulary."
