FIREFIGHTERS are still dealing with a fire at a warehouse in Chorley - nearly 24 hours after it was reported.

Three crews remain on site at the Booths building on Bournes Row in Brindle near Hoghton.

A Lancashire Fire Service spokesman said: "There has been no further collapse of the building.

"We are having to fight the fire from the outside because it is unstable which is why it can take longer."

At it's height yesterday morning more than 60 firefighters were dealing with the incident at 9.52am.

An aerial ladder platform and stinger were involved in the operation and local residents were being warned to keep their windows and doors shut.
