Rovers reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings after the 2-1 win at Fleetwood Town.

David Raya 7

Made one outstanding save from Madden, albeit the striker was offside. Sold short by Mulgrew for the goal. Kicking poor, but relatively untroubled.

Ryan Nyambe 8 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

Growing in confidence by the game and was part of a Rovers right-hand side in the first half which ran amok. His ability to drive forward with the forward with the ball has added a new dimension to the Rovers attack, while in defence, his work was assured.

Paul Downing 7

Was strong in the air from both open play and set plays and shackled Madden well.

Charlie Mulgrew 6

An uncharacteristic error for the Fleetwood goal but recovered that to help see Rovers to victory. Saw a second-half free-kick saved.

Derrick Williams 7

Linked up well with Conway down the left in the first half in which he hit the bar with a header. But was hesitant in the lead up to Mulgrew’s error for the goal.

Elliott Bennett 7

His shooting from distance was a little array but had a hand in the opening goal. Put in plenty of graft as he continued in a central role.

Richie Smallwood 8

Fired home the winner late on with an excellent strike from distance. Threw himself in to tackles as ever but helped control the game from the middle of the park.

Dominic Samuel 7

Had the beating of his full-back every time, but didn’t always make the most of that. Should have scored early on, only to find the side netting after being played in by Dack.

Craig Conway 7

Got in to plenty of promising positions but failed to find a team-mate from some good crossing opportunities. Fired a first half shot over the bar.

Bradley Dack 8

Took his goal like the man in form he is and was at his busy best probing behind Graham. Linked up well with Samuel in the early stages.

Danny Graham 7

It was his excellent cushioned header which saw Dack open the scoring. Was denied by the post in the second half.

Subs

Adam Armstrong (for Conway, 64) 6

Flattened the referee with an attempted through ball, but settled in to the game to show flashes of his skill cutting in from the left.

Jack Payne (for Graham, 75) 6

Had a hand in the winning goal for Smallwood and always looked to get on the ball after coming on.

Joe Nuttall (for Samuel, 80) 6

Helped Rovers see the game out with some physical centre forward play.

Subs not used: Jayson Leutwiler, Paul Caddis, Elliott Ward, Lewis Travis
