VISITORS to Altrincham Crematorium will benefit from a new mobile coffee house offering a pleasant place to sit and reflect, while enjoying a hot drink and the chance to chat with others.

The initiative, which is being trialled by Trafford Council, will be available from 10am to 3pm five days per week.

Executive councillor Laura Evans said: “We have many hundreds of visitors every week and have recognised, and listened to their feedback.

"While it is a crematorium, it’s also a beautiful and peaceful setting on the fringes of National Trust land for anyone who wants to take time out, so is not restricted to just visitors of the site.”

If the trial is a success, the council hopes to make it a more permanent feature for visitors to sit and enjoy a drink or snack whilst visiting their loved one’s memorials.
