A FIRE in the clubhouse of a rugby league club was believed to have been started deliberately, firefighters said.
Six fire engines were sent to the incident at the Leyland Warriors home in Moss Side Way in Leyland.
Police and fire crews are investigating after the blaze which happened at around 2am this morning.
A fire spokesman said: “Six fire engines and crews from Leyland, Penwortham, two from Chorley, two from Bamber Bridge, an Incident Command Unit and support from Fulwood responded to a fire that is believed to have been started deliberately.
“Firefighters used a main jet and a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
“There were no casualties and a fire and police investigation is underway.”
