A GOOD Samaritan came to the rescue of a partially sighted man who was taken advantage of and mugged in Timperley this week.

On Tuesday August 23, a partially sighted man was approached by man in his 30s asking for a cigarette on Stockport Road.

After engaging the victim in conversation, the stranger started to argue with him and threatened him it a beer bottle. He then rifled through the victim’s bag and stole his sunglasses.

A woman spotted the commotion whilst driving past the men and immediately turned her car around to come to the aid of the victim. After assisting him, she then drove the victim back to his home.

The offender is described as black, slim, with short trimmed facial hair, short thin dreadlocks to the shoulder. He was wearing a 'bucket hat' which was black on the outside with grey lining, a lightweight black bomber jacket and a black t-shirt with orange/white logo on the chest, and 3/4 length cargo shorts.

He was with another man, described as white male and wearing shorts, however this male didn't have any involvement in the incident and walked off.
