She and her dad won £1,000 and she watched yesterday’s broadcast with her giggling workmates at East Lancashire Hospice in Park Lee Road, Blackburn.

She will tie the knot with journalism lecturer Andrew Greaves next August after five years of courting.

She said: “Me and my fiancé Andrew are getting married next year so my £500 will go on the wedding. It was really funny watching it – it actually feels like I am watching someone else.”

Hosted by ex-Apprentice runner up Saira Khan, the series challenges contestants to guess the value of homes and their contents.

In each episode, two couples compete against each other and the better they do, the more time they have for the final, prime property, where the are competing for the cash prize.

Kim added: “We went for an audition in June and were told pretty quickly that they wanted us for the show. Within a couple of weeks we were on a train to London for two days of filming but all the destinations we were going to were kept secret.

“It was fun to go into different homes and see some unusual features.

“Both me and my dad have an interest in property so we enjoyed the premise of the show and it was a chance to promote the hospice in a small way.”

Guess This House screens every lunchtime and appeals to society’s nosiness, with contestants rummaging around rooms and turning their noses up at decor and ornaments.
