SHE has proved she has got the voice — and now she is vowing to prove the judges wrong.

Ella Shaw missed out on a place in the final of Britain’s Got Talent in Wednesday’s live show — but she still wowed the judges, left the presenters gobsmacked and was given the thumbs-up by the professionals.

Ella, 18, who previously sang her self-penned Summertime, belted out an impressive cover of Rozalla’s 1991 hit Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good).

And the Zambian acid house queen was one of the first to congratulate the Ribble Valley youngster. Rozalla tweeted: “Well done @ella_shaw_ with a brilliant version of my song. Great vocal performance.”

The former pupil of St Mary’s RC Primary School at Langho and St Augustine’s RC High School at Billington also impressed the panel.

Lancashire Telegraph:

David Walliams said: “It was rather cool and edgy. It was a stunning performance and very brave to change from singing your own song to doing that.”

Amanda Holden “loved the interpretation” — and Alesha Dixon said: “I loved your vocals. It was very modern and edgy.”

Simon Cowell noted Ella’s nerves but said: “You have a real kind of star quality about you.”

Before the show, Ella’s rehearsal even caused co-host Ant McPartlin to miss his cue. Ella revealed: “Ant forgot to come up (on stage) because he was so lost in what I was doing. It was really sweet.”

The teenager was backed by a gospel choir for an uplifting version of the dance anthem. And she has vowed to live the dream.

She said: “I have still got the biggest smile on my face. This is not the end. I have had an amazing time and I have made some true friends as well as true fans. Sorry I let you all down and did not get through to the final but I promise I am not going to stop fighting.”

And it is not just her voice that is grabbing the attention — her fans, the Shawies, are clamouring to copy her style, especially her salmon-pink figure-hugging dress. Fashionistas have identified it as a Forever Unique bandage top and skirt, costing £300.

The Daily Mail’s Femail Fashion Finder described Ella as a rival for the show’s style crown, which they claim is normally a “fashion face off between Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon”.
