Craig, who has had a a brilliant second half of the season, will cut six people’s hair after a silent auction for the appointments.

Money raised on the day will go to The Free Project, which provides help to homeless people living in sheltered accommodation in Blackburn.

Craig, 30, who was a £100,000 signing from Cardiff City in January 2014, comes from a family of barbers in Scotland.

He has been known to cut the hair of team-mates David Dunn, Jordan Rhodes and other squad members after training at Brockhall.

Craig said: “I’m a fully-qualified hairdresser. When I started out in football I played part-time and worked the rest of the time at my family’s hairdressers. I would even work in the shop on the morning of Ayr United games.”

The charity event will take place on Saturday, June 27 and the Men’s Lounge is hoping to have other Rovers players present for a autograph signing session.

Paul Harrison, from Oswaldtwistle, is a barber at the shop and also volunteers for the Free Project in Blackburn, He said: “I found out Craig was also a barber and he was only too glad to help. It should be a lot of fun and maybe he can teach us a thing or two.”

The shop will charge £15 per cut from the other barbers on the day for the charity.

Bids for the Craig Conway silent auction can be submitted via the Men’s Lounge Instagram or Facebook page or by calling the shop on 01772 622533.
