Leyland’s 2050 Squadron Air Training Corps is officially the top squadron in Lancashire and Cumbria after roaring back to the top slot at the 2014 Wing Training Day competition.

It’s not the first time the squadron has proved itself the best, however, coming top in 2009, 2010 and 2012. But after a top three finish last year, the team was victorious again in time to celebrate its 50th anniversary year.

The Wing Training Day competition covers a range of activities, including drill, first aid, flight simulation, shooting and aero modelling.
