Adlington and District Carnival committee select new ‘royals’

The Adlington and District Carnival committee has selected its carnival royalty to repreesent the village at celebrations in July.

The event was held at St Paul’s Church Club Railway Rd Adlington, to choose the 2014 ‘royalty’.

The event was well attended, and the judges had a difficult job to choose between the entrants, but they had to make a choice, The Carnival Queen will be Caitlan Earnshaw, 15, from Adlington. She attends, Albany Academy, is in the Army Cadet Force and enjoys netball and acting.

Adlington’s princess will be Blythe Cordwell, eight from Heath Charnock, who is a pupil at St Paul’s School Adlington.

The carnival rosebud is Sienna Stowe, aged seven, from Adlington who goes to St George’s CE School, Chorley.

Finally the pageboy is Callum Shorrock, from Adlington.
