PEOPLE are being given the chance to celebrate Chorley Football Club’s winning the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier Division title at a town centre event on Friday.

Football fans can celebrate the promotion with the team, manager and local dignitaries at the event organised by Chorley Council.

It runs on the Flat Iron car park from 7pm on Friday, May 9, with performances from local singers before the team takes to the stage to show-off their trophy and celebrate with fans. The manager and players will address the audience and take part in a question and answer session. Afterwards fans can get autographs and have their pictures taken with the trophy and some of the players.

Graham Watkinson, vice chairman of Chorley Football Club, added: “The support we’ve received throughout the season and since we’ve won the title has been amazing and we’d like to thank Chorley Council for organising this event.”
