A FIRE at a church in Chorley is believed to have been started deliberately.
Crews were called out to a small blaze at the rear of the Independent Methodist Church in Lyons Lane at around 5pm on Friday.
They spent around half an hour at the scene putting out the flames.
Crew manager Neil Mitchell, from Chorley fire station, said: “We think possibly it was children who started the fire by setting alight an external door.
“The was some fire damage to the door.”
